While we are unable to host in-person classroom visits to Harrington House or Pettengill Farm at the moment, we look forward to the day that we can welcome students again.
FHS works with teachers and school districts on providing field trips, class visits, and teacher tools. Whether students visit historic Harrington House to experience our current exhibition, engage with primary resources in our archives, take special tours at Pettengill Farm, or use our digital content, we are proud to work with educators in and out of the classroom.
Interested in bringing a group of students to the FHS? Education staff will work with you to create a memorable educational experience! Having students visit either Harrington House or Pettengill Farm starts with contacting our Education team to discuss your visit requests, options, and needs.
We also work with teachers on classroom content and can work with you to supplement classroom learning with resources related to themes within our collection. We can also offer an introduction into museums, archives, and primary source material. Don’t see what you’re looking for? Museum education staff is always happy to work with you to create custom content. We’ll partner with you to engage students with documents and artifacts and make connections to what they are learning in the classroom.
The FHS hopes to add content-rich online resources and teacher tools to our website in the near future!
There are many ways you can support FHS – become a member, donate, or volunteer. Your support makes our work possible.
