As part of our mission to engage history lovers with the physical landscape of Freeport’s history, FHS will be offering walking tours throughout the summer.

Join FHS staff and volunteers for a walking tour of the historic buildings of Main Street and downtown Freeport. View historic homes, businesses, and more to learn about how the landscape of downtown today was shaped by its use throughout Freeport’s history.

Tour Dates

Tours available at 10:30 Tuesday-Friday  and the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month. 

Tours will depart from the L.L.Bean patio at 83 Main Street (to the left of the waterfall) at 10:30, typically last an hour, and cover about 1 mile. 

Tickets are free to Historical Society members or $10 to the public. Online sales end 15 minutes before each tour. Want to join last minute? Just give us a call: 207-865-3170.
