Our Annual Fund is our largest single source of operating revenue. Your Annual Fund donations support our public programs, lectures, workshops, and exhibits; our collections care and acquisitions; and our professional staff who engage with our community and advance our mission to keep Freeport’s past present.
The Building Fund continues to receive funds to complete our $1.2 million renovation and construction project at our Main Street campus. We have already completed our new, state-of-the-art collections storage vault; renewed our historic carriage house; and created a newly accessible entrance, visitors area, and restroom, and expanded our exhibit space. Your continued support of this fund will allow us to complete the final stages of preserving and stabilizing our home in the 1831 Harrington House.
The Pettengill Farm Fund supports our preservation and maintenance at our 140-acre saltwater farm on the Harraseeket estuary, including the 18th-century saltbox farmhouse, fields, stonewalls, and trails that are a beloved part of Freeport’s past and an active part of the Freeport’s community today.
